IEEE MetroAeroSpace 2021 will have the following awards, which will be announced and bestowed at the Conference Closing Ceremony.
Best Conference Paper Award
This award recognizes the most outstanding paper presented at IEEE MetroAeroSpace Workshop.
The Best Conference Paper Award is sponsored by MDPI Sensors Journal.
The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:
- A prize money amounting to 500 CHF;
- A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
- The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.
Basis for Judging: A selection committee will be appointed by the IEEE MetroAeroSpace Awards Committee Chairs. Papers are judged based on technical merit, originality, potential impact on the field, clarity of the written paper, and quality of the conference presentation.
Presentation: The award will be announced and presented at the IEEE MetroAeroSpace Closing Ceremony.
Best Paper Presented by a Young Researcher
This award recognizes the best paper authored and presented by a researcher younger than 35 years in age.
The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:
- A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
- The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.

Best Papers of the Special Session on Metrology for Radar Systems
This award recognizes two outstanding papers of the Special Session on Metrology for Radar Systems.
The two awards are sponsored by IEEE AES Italy Chapter and MDPI Remote Sensing Journal.
Corresponding author of each awarded paper will be entitled to:
- A prize money amounting to
- 500 CHF for the award sponsored by MDPI Remote Sensing;
- 500 EUR for the award sponsored by IEEE AES Italy Chapter.
- A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
- The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.
Basis for Judging: A selection committee will be appointed by the Chairs of the Special Session "Metrology for Radar Systems". Papers are judged based on technical merit, originality, potential impact on the field, clarity of the written paper, and quality of the conference presentation.
