Pisa Galileo Galilei Airport is the main airport of Tuscany and is served by several airlines operating hundreds of weekly flights to national and international destinations. Numerous companies offer charter flights to and from a number of European and non-European destinations. Flying to Pisa is really cheap and easy: the most recognized low-cost airlines serve Pisa. The airport is close to the city center - it takes only a few minutes to reach the center by bus, train or taxi. The airport is also within easy walking distance of the center, which takes around 20 min.
Pisa has regular trains to and from Florence (usually three per hour), to and from Lucca (usually every hour) and is also accessible by bus.

From Florence (Firenze), catch your train from Firenze S.M. Novella station. Depending on time, there are about 4 trains per hour.
The main road leading directly to Pisa is the so-called SS1 Aurelia, which must be resorted to by tourists coming, for instance, from Florence, Rome or Bologna, and from Genoa alike. However, if departing from Florence, before entering SS1 Aurelia, tourists should follow either the A11 Florence-Mare Motorway or the Florence-Pisa-Livorno expressway. From Genoa, before entering the SS1 Aurelia, visitors should travel on the A12 Genoa-Rosignato Motorway, whereas if departing from Rome, the best choice is to combine the A1 Motorway to Florence, and then follow the Same A11 Motorway and SS1 Aurelia in view of finally arriving to Pisa.
