ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS
PhD. Eng. Andrzej Łukaszewicz is an academic teacher at the Bialystok University of Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, since 1997. He received PhD in Applied Mechanics from Warsaw University of Technology, Institute of Machine Design Fundamentals in 2003. In 2007 he obtain CSWA (Certified SolidWorks Professional) as one of the first academic teachers in Poland. He obtained six times award “The Best Leader - Scientific Supervisor” in Polish SolidWorks Student Competition (acad. years: 2003/04, 2004/05, 2006/07, 2007/08, 2008/09, 2011/12). In 2010 he was invited as plenary speaker with topic “SolidWorks based CAx education directed for industrial practice” to the SolidWorks World, Anaheim, CA, USA. He was the supervisor of about 100 BSc and MSc diploma. He is the author or co-author of over 150 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters. He was a member of scientific committee of many international conferences. In 2019 he was awarded the Silver Honor Badge of Polish Society of Mechanical Engineers and Technicians. His main research topics are CAD, CAx, thermoelastic FEA, modelling of friction welding processes and UAV design and manufacturing. Science 2018 Andrzej Łukaszewicz is the lead engineer in U.S.Asian Aeroservices LTD in Thailand. This company is focused, among others, on the design and manufacture of UAVs dedicated to the South Asian market. He is also a member of Aero Club of Poland (FAI community) and active competitor in rubber powered free flight air models (F1B class).
Prof. Jerzy Józwik is a staff member of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Lublin University of Technology (since 1998) and of the State School of Higher Education in Chełm (since 2007), where he holds the positions of Deputy Director of the Institute of Technical Studies and Aviation and Head of the Engineering Studies Centre (since 2012). He is a member of numerous scientific societies, including the Lublin Scientific Society, the Polish Society of Engineers and Mechanics, the Polish Society of Production Management, and the Polish Welding Society, where, since 2015, he has held the position of Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Section of the Polish Welding Society, Lublin Branch. In 2018 he was honoured with the Silver Cross of Merit and in 2011 Bronze Cross of Merit from the President of the Republic of Poland. He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Lublin University of Technology in Mechanics and Machine Design with a specialization in Machine Technology and Polymer Processing. He is the author of over 160 reviewed papers and scientific publications, author of one monograph (2018) and co-author of two monographs (2014, 2016), the editor of one monograph (2009) and a co-editor of two monographs (2005, 2007). He co-authored two patents, two utility models and three patent applications. A supervisor of engineering diplomas and master theses as well as an auxiliary supervisor of doctoral dissertations. He is the author of various expert opinions concerning innovations for industry. He holds certificates related to the operation of machines and numerically controlled devices, CNC machine tools, robots, cutters, tool setting system operation, CNC machine tool diagnostic systems, microscopes, and optical tools utilized in reverse engineering and research. He is also a member of various scientific committees and scientific conference organizing committees, both domestically and internationally (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, Croatia). He is also a member of scientific committees and a reviewer for scientific magazines as well as a reviewer and member of the jury in a national competition for Best Master Thesis organized by Sandvik Coromant in Poland. He is actively engaged in the Erasmus and Ceepus programmes both at the Lublin University of Technology and the State School of Higher Education in Chełm. He is the author of various expert opinions concerning innovations for industry.
PhD. Hab. Eng. Krzysztof Szafran is an employee of the Institute of Aviation since 1980. Obtained the title Doctor of Science in the Construction and exploitation of machines is the result of scientific studies conducted at the Institute of Aviation. Author of more than 80 papers published in journals and monographs, including as the creator of the six patents the Republic of Poland and utility model. Design solutions contained in the patents have been implemented for the production of special means of transport. He leads as a promoter of dissertations, theses and engineering. Participant congresses and symposia related to flight safety, aerodynamics, aircraft and operation of transport systems. The teaching activities was a teacher and creator of software engineering practices and industrial internships. Interests - aerospace safety, aerodynamics, ballistics and dynamics of aircraft, hovercraft, airship design - technology, ekranoplans. Reviewer of scientific papers, projects, monographs and publications in scientific journals.
